Hard to Tell

We are the cause of our problems but we are trying to be the solutions to our problems. This is a double bind. The same people who are responsible for spreading hate and misinformation claim to seek an equitable and just society. The same corporations seeking to maximise shareholders’ profits are talking about social and environmental justice.

Truth is lost somewhere in between all this nonsense. Truth is suffocated and sacrificed on the altar of moral conscience. Good and bad are indistinguishable these days. Maybe there is no difference. The outcome means more than the process; A return to Machiavellianism. Nothing good can come out of a rotten pipeline. Life on earth is infested with income inequality and classism.

Africa is boiling in a soup of ethnic tension and uncomfortable coexistence. The unhappy marriages called countries are breaking apart from their seams. Democracy is like a bandage used in place of a surgical procedure. Hearts are broken daily. People feel helpless. The pain is real. Nobody should be hungry. Nobody should be left behind. We can design a system that carries everyone along.
